NDIS support across Melbourne's north.

From Northcote and Preston up through Reservoir, Coburg and Broadmeadows to the growth suburbs of Epping, Mernda and Craigieburn, Melbourne's north is one of the city's most diverse regions — and our support reflects that.

The north is home to big multicultural communities, and good support here often starts with communication: interpreters (we book TIS National, free for participants), workers matched for language or cultural fit where we can, and plain-language everything. Tell us what would make support feel right, and we'll build around it.

Across 35 northern suburbs we deliver the full range of Ellira supports — from daily-life help in Reservoir to recovery coaching in Heidelberg and community access that makes the most of the north's parks, pools, libraries and markets.

We coordinate routinely with the north's health services — the Austin in Heidelberg, the Northern Hospital in Epping, and community mental-health teams across the region. If you're leaving hospital, we can work with your discharge planner so support starts when you get home, not weeks later.

The north's growth suburbs share the same challenge as our south-east home turf: services and transport haven't kept up with the houses. Community access support in Mernda or Craigieburn is often about bridging exactly that gap.

Common questions

Good to know

Can I get a support worker who speaks my language?

We'll try — tell us what matters and we'll match for it where we can. Where we can't, professional interpreting through TIS National (131 450) is free for our participants, always.

How soon can support start in the northern suburbs?

It varies by suburb and service — our northern team is growing. We'll tell you honestly at your intake call, and a real person responds to every enquiry within one business day.

Do you take referrals from hospitals in the north?

Yes — health professionals and discharge planners can refer through our referral form or by calling us, and we're used to coordinating with hospital teams.

Is Ellira a registered NDIS provider?

Ellira is not yet a registered NDIS provider — we are working toward NDIS registration. Plan-managed and self-managed participants can use Ellira today; the NDIS Code of Conduct binds us fully regardless of registration.
