Out in the world, doing the things you love.
Community access is support to get out and take part — activities, outings, classes, volunteering and everyday errands. A worker goes with you, builds your confidence, and helps you stay connected to the people and places that matter, at whatever pace feels right.
Your community, your way.
The right support to get there, take part and feel like you belong — as often as you'd like.
What community
access covers
Out-and-about support
Getting out & about
Support to attend outings, appointments and events — with transport help and a familiar face alongside you.
Hobbies & interests
Doing more of what you enjoy — sport, arts, classes, the gym, the movies or simply a coffee out.
Social connection
Building and keeping friendships, joining groups and feeling part of your local community.
Volunteering & skills
Trying volunteering, courses or work-readiness activities that build confidence and open up options.
Everyday errands
A hand with shopping, banking and the practical trips that keep life running — building independence as you go.
Travel & transport skills
Learning to use public transport or navigate your area, so you can get around more independently over time.
Community access may suit you if…
You want to get out more but need support or transport to do it confidently.
You'd like to pursue hobbies, classes or interests alongside a support worker.
You want to build friendships, connection and a sense of belonging.
Your NDIS plan includes Core funding for social & community participation.
Support that follows your interests — not a fixed timetable of group activities.
Led by what you enjoy
We start from your interests and goals, not a roster of pre-set outings. Your time is yours to shape.
Building real independence
The aim is more freedom over time — skills and confidence so you can do more on your own terms, with support that steps back as you grow.

Good to know
Does community access include transport?
Yes — your worker can support you to get to and from activities, and help you build travel skills. How transport is funded depends on your plan, which we'll sort out with you.
Can I choose the activities?
Always. It's your time — we start from what you want to do, whether that's a regular hobby, trying something new, or just getting out for a coffee.
One-to-one or group?
Either — whatever suits you. Some people prefer 1:1 support; others enjoy small-group activities where they can meet people. We'll match it to how you like things.
