Refer with confidence — and stay in the loop.
You need providers who respond fast, communicate properly, and make you look good for referring. Here's exactly how referring to Ellira works, what we need from you, and what we promise back.
Three steps, no run-around
Send what you have
Use the online form (12 sections, all skippable except the basics), email referrals@ellira.com.au, or phone. A name, a contact and the support sought is enough to start.
We respond within 1 business day
A real person confirms receipt, flags anything we need, and books the intake conversation. Crisis-flagged referrals are phoned back directly.
You stay informed
With consent, we confirm commencement, share the support plan, and keep you across changes that matter — communication that actually happens, not just gets promised.
A useful referral has…
Participant consent to refer (or a note that you'll obtain it — we'll confirm at intake).
NDIS number and plan type (self/plan/NDIA-managed) if known.
The supports sought, goals, and roughly how many hours.
Any safety or risk context we should know before first contact.
Relevant documents — plan, BSP, discharge summary — or just a note of what exists.
Missing something? Refer anyway. Gaps become intake questions, never blockers.
Plan types & our registration status
Ellira is not yet a registered NDIS provider — we are working toward NDIS registration. In practice that means Ellira suits your plan-managed and self-managed participants today; NDIA-managed participants generally need registered providers, and we'd rather you know that before you refer than after. The NDIS Code of Conduct binds us fully regardless of registration, our workers hold NDIS Worker Screening and WWC checks, and our internal systems run against the NDIS Practice Standards. The full picture — including the questions we think you should ask any unregistered provider — is in our guide: registered vs unregistered providers.
And on conflicts: if you refer for one service, that's the service we deliver. We never pressure participants to move other supports to us. Our own support coordination carries the same independence rule in reverse — coordination participants are connected to whoever fits best, including other providers.
Coordinator FAQ
What's your response time on referrals?
A real person — not an autoresponder — replies within one business day. Urgent and crisis-flagged referrals are prioritised and phoned back directly.
Do I need every detail before referring?
No. A name, a contact and the support sought are enough to start triage. Anything missing becomes a to-do list for the intake conversation — a gap never blocks a referral.
Is Ellira registered?
Ellira is not yet a registered NDIS provider — we are working toward NDIS registration. Plan-managed and self-managed participants can use Ellira now; the NDIS Code of Conduct binds us fully regardless.
Will you try to take over the rest of my participant's plan?
No. We deliver the supports you refer for and work alongside the rest of the team. We never pressure participants to consolidate services with us — choice and control isn't a slogan, it's how we keep coordinators referring.
